These M10 Forgefix Nuts and washers are made of A2 stainless steel, which will not corrode, rust or stain from water. The hexagonal shape of the nut is designed to be driven by a wrench, spanner or Hex Socket they provide excellent torque. Stainless Steel does not corrode, rust or stain with water as ordinary steel does, but despite the name it is not fully stain-proof.

Flat Penny washers, have a 25mm outside diameter. The washers are bright zinc plated for increased corrosion resistance, and have been given the name 'Penny Washer' due to their similarity in size to an old penny. Washers provide a smooth surface for the nut or bolt to bear on, making it less likely to loosen as a result of an uneven fastening surface. The main purpose of a washer is to distribute the load under a bolt head or the nut face.

These plate washers have a larger surface area than most round washers, making them suitable for heavy-duty fastening. They are ideal for use with Carriage Bolts in structural timber fastening applications such as joist work and decking. The washers are bright zinc plated for increased resistance to corrosion.
